Born on the 12th of July, 1969, Oluwatosin Abimbola Dokpesi is the Managing Director of Africa Independent Television. She originally hails from Edo State and obtained a BSc. degree in Zoology in 1994 and a PGD in Mass Communication, in 2000, from the University of Lagos.
Mrs. Dokpesi began her broadcasting career in 1994 as a TV presenter/producer with Multimedia International, joined Clapper Board in 1995, and joined DAAR Communications Ltd in 1996.
She was later appointed Managing Director of AIT in 2008. As a philanthropist, Tosin has supported a good number of businesses as well as powered projects aimed at encouraging girl child education.
Dr (Mrs.) Oluwatosin Abimbola Dokpesi is a fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management. She is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Advertising Practitioners’ Council of Nigeria and the Nigerian Union of Journalists.
She has an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Communications from Wisconsin University USA and the Citizens Image Special Recognition Award as the Great Woman of the 21st Century in Broadcasting in Nigeria.
