Fave was born Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere on March 13, 2000, in Anambra State, Nigeria. She was born into a small family of five; she has two brothers and is the middle child. Her musical experience began at the tender age of 6 when she started writing songs and performing at various events at school. Fave is a Nigerian national of African heritage. She is from the Igbo tribe and currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria.

Fave began to take her music career seriously in late 2019. However, she released her debut single M.O.M.M.S in July of that year.
