Christopher Gwabin Musa was born on December 25, 1967, in Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria. Although he hails from Zangon Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State, he received his primary and secondary education in the caliphate state.
Career
After completing his secondary education, Musa was admitted into the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna State in 1986. He underwent intense and rigorous military training for five years as part of the 38 regular course during a time when the Nigerian military held political power in the country.
Upon completion of his training, in September 1991, Musa was commissioned into the Nigerian Army as a second lieutenant in the Infantry Corps, which is known for its challenging nature. Throughout his career, he excelled in various assignments and demonstrated his capabilities as a dedicated and skilled officer.
In 2021, Musa was redeployed to serve as the Commander of the Joint Task Force (North East) for Operation Hadin Kai. He held this position until his recent appointment to a new role.
