Ali Nuhu Biography and Early Life
Ali Nuhu Mohammed was born on March 15, 1974, in Maiduguri, Borno State, in northeastern Nigeria. His father, Nuhu Poloma, was a politician and a former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State. His mother, Fatima Karderam Digema, was a caterer and a school teacher from Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. He grew up in Kano and Jos, where he attended his primary and secondary education. He later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Jos and did his national service in Ibadan, Oyo State. He also studied filmmaking and cinematic arts at the Asian Academy of Film and Television in India and the University of Southern California in the United States.
