Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse is a Rivers State-born monarch and politician who is the paramount ruler of Emuoha Kingdom and also Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
He had serially sought to become Rivers governor in the 2000s but was not successful.
Awuse was born on the 14th of June, 1953, and is the founder of the Sergeant Chidi Awuse Cancer Foundation (SACAF). He is also the CEO of Visa Karena Hotels in Port Harcourt and has held national positions such as Chairman of the Governing Council of Kaduna Polytechnic and other multinational businesses like Nigerian Agip Company.
The trained Chartered Accountant was in charge of the Risopalm Estate Palm Oil Industry as an administrator.
