Obinna Nwafor was born on the 16th of November, 1965 to the family of Chief Melvin Nwafor and Millicent Nwafor. He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria but he hails from Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State. His father was a titled Igbo chief while his mother was a teacher. Saint Obi was the only son among the couple\’s nine children.
After obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate, Saint Obi proceeded to Zang Secondary Commercial School, Plateau, Jos for his secondary education. He thereafter, enrolled at the prestigious University of Jos, where he earned a degree in Theater Arts.

Is Saint Obi Dead?
Saint Obi has reportedly passed away after a protracted illness. According to PunchNG, he died early in the week after battling an undisclosed illness for several months with no successful treatment.
Vanguardngr reported that he passed away on Sunday, 7th May 2023 at the home of one of his siblings. The news of his death was, however, not made public officially on time due to disagreement among his siblings.
