Abel Damina was born on August 29, 1960, in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He originally hails from Lere in Saminaka Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the northern part of Nigeria. He spent the bulk of his early life in Akwa Ibom State alongside his parents.
