Caleb Mutfwang was born on March 12, 1965, in Wussasa, Zaria. His educational journey began at LEA Primary School Ampang-West, Mangu LGA, where he completed his primary education from 1973 to 1977. He then attended Boys Secondary School, Gindiri, and successfully graduated in 1982. Afterward, Caleb briefly worked at the Federal Office of Statistics and the defunct Nigerian Bank for Commerce of Industry (NBCI). However, his thirst for knowledge persisted, leading him to enroll at the School of Preliminary Studies, Keffi, from 1983 to 1984.
Subsequently, Caleb pursued higher education at the University of Jos, where he studied from 1984 to 1988. He continued his academic journey at the Nigerian Law School, qualifying him to be called to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court on December 14, 1989.
Caleb also fulfilled the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Kaduna State, during which he was elected by his fellow participants as the President of the Nigerian Christian Corpers’ Fellowship in Kaduna State.

From 1990 to 1995, Caleb Mutfwang actively engaged in private legal practice as a member of the esteemed Kaduna-based law firm BYOMA, ICHABA & CO (FIDELITY CHAMBERS). Building on his expertise and experience, he went on to establish his own firm, Caleb Mutfwang & Co, a registered firm of Legal Practitioners with the Corporate Affairs Commission, officially founded on March 21, 1996.
In 2002, Caleb\’s legal acumen led to his appointment as the Deputy General Manager of Legal & Secretarial Services at Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited in Kaduna. He held this position until 2004, during which time he also served as the Acting Company Secretary.
Caleb Mutfwang is an esteemed member of various professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association, with a particular focus on the Section on Business Law. He is also affiliated with the International Bar Association, the Christian Lawyers’ Fellowship of Nigeria, the Christian Legal Society of America, and the Nigerian Institute of Management.
